Alcatraz Swim for Sight is a charity swim that started in 2011 to raise awareness and funds to support research at University of California San Francisco (UCSF) to help identify treatments and cures for blindness.

Each swimmer is required to pay a $150 registration fee and there is a suggested fundraising goal of $2,000 to help reach this year’s target of $150,000.

Alcatraz Swim For Sight is a fiscally sponsored project of Edward Charles Foundation, an IRS approved 501(c)(3) public charity (EIN 26-4245043). We are using their not-for-profit platform to collect funds and register swimmers.
All donations are going directly to All May See Foundation.
All funds raised in this year’s swim will be given to All May See Foundation, which is the fundraising arm of UCSF Ophthalmology Department. Each dollar will support the doctors’ research to help identify treatments and cures for blindness.
This year’s swim will max out at 50 swimmers.
